Re: Biden Afraid to Answer The Tough Questions

actually clinton raised taxes for the wealthiest and biggest corporations by establishing the 36 and 39.6% tax brackets and 35% for companies

all the bush admin did was reverse those

the lowest income (i believe it was those making less than 25k) families for a reduction in the EITC

secondly odumbo hasnt said [censored] about debt reduction......yet that was clintons biggest premise during his first campaign

they couldnt be further apart on economic policy

but then again i dont expect a kid to be able to decipher things like that.......the things that the MSM doesnt tell you

no......the ones who received a tex cut under clinton were the extreme lowest class

Here is How These Changes Would Increase the Reward to Work for American Families:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">THE PRESIDENT'S PROPOSED INCREASE IN THE EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT
Pre-1993 Law Current Law Proposal Increase
    Married*; 2 children; $20,000 earnings $1,438 $2,524 $2,940 +$416
    Individual; 3 children; $15,000 earnings $2,331 $3,577 $4,116 +$538
    Married*; 3 children; $23,000 earnings $902 $1,892 $2,867 +$975
*Both spouses must earn at least $725 to qualify for the additional credit for a married couple.</div></div>

hardly middle class......infact that doesnt even address the middle class

Re: Biden Afraid to Answer The Tough Questions

also clinton was a big supporter of other such tax credits like tuition credits.....and child credits for families with more than 2 children and he lowered the max income level on which you would pay SS tax

those things were for all income levels and not just low or middle class

    again.......far different from odumbo

Re: Biden Afraid to Answer The Tough Questions

Look up the American Oppurtunity tax credit, a tutition credit. From what I have read (which was a report in 97) it said by far he gave the biggest tax cut to the middle class,

    what about it?

thats one similarity between odumbo and clinton

you are bound to find some minor similarities between policies of any two politicians......especially two from the same party

but again odumbos main premise is tax cuts......clintons was debt reduction

but again you were still finger painting in first grade when clinton ran the first time.......so obviously im not expecting you to get that

but it certainly would give you alot more credibility if you actually did some homework before babbling about htings you clearly arent infomred about

Re: Biden Afraid to Answer The Tough Questions

Youre the one who brought up the tuition tax credit.

yeah i did.......it was to show that the only thing clinton did for the middle class was credits such as that

but i will tell you that its impossible to think that there will never be any 2 politicians from the same party who dont have at least small similarities in their ideas

    where you said

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Obama's economic plan is pretty similar to Bill's</div></div>

    and

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">The middle class recieved the biggest tax cuts under Clinton, its that the same thing Obama is pushing for?</div></div>
neither of which are remotely true.....the main issues of their policy couldnt be anymore night and day.......and the middle class didnt get [censored] from clinton.......only those on and below the "poverty line" did.......but i love when uneducated people try and talk as if they are an authority on things

    keep up the good work

Re: Biden Afraid to Answer The Tough Questions

    you also said

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Havent we been on that track the past 8 years?</div></div>
in response to the marxism comment to biden

i know you are referring to bush tax cuts for the wealthy which again brings me back to the point of being uninformed

if you had any sort of clue.......you would know that clinton raised taxes for those very welthy companies and highest income families......and all bush did was simply reverse those increases

Re: Biden Afraid to Answer The Tough Questions

this thread brings me back to what i have stated earlier about voting not being a blind right

its the uniformed voters like r13 who compare 2 politicians but dont comapre them accurately because they dont have all the facts

that also leads to them unjustly criticizing or unfairly praising those from a current or former administration for certain actions or events that have taken place

then regardless of your opinion on a certain part of a policy at least the citizens of this country can have faith that those being given permission to vote are actually making an informed decision and understand the ties to the past among either individuals or parties

to understand who or what is REALLY responsible for what may have taken place even years later as the decisions of those being voted for today may not have any affect on this country or its people for 5 or 10 years
because sadly right now........we have entirly too many people that go to the polls ignorant of the facts and make decisons that could shape their future or the future of their families on on a false pretense
